Is the experience safe?
Last Updated: October 27, 2026Safety comes first. Guests must complete the required briefing, remain seated, use the seat belt correctly and follow the facilitator’s instructions at all times. Staff may end a drive if safety requirements are not followed.
Do I need previous resurfacer driving experience?
Last Updated: October 27, 2026No. A team member provides an orientation, safety briefing and guided instruction before and during each drive.
Who can participate?
Last Updated: October 27, 2026Drivers must be 18 or older and hold a valid Candian G driver’s licence. Children 8 years and older or adults without a valid Canadian G Drivers licence may participate as passengers in eligible Family and Kids Birthday experiences. What is Resurface the Game?
Last Updated: October 27, 2026Resurface the Game is an immersive ice-resurfacer experience that lets guests learn about rink operations, enter the driver’s seat and create a memorable hockey-rink moment. The experience uses a two-seat Engo ice resurfacer.
Are skate aids available to use or rental during my party/event?
Last Updated: June 26, 2026Not all locations have skate aids available to use or rent. You are more than welcome to bring your own if they are needed!
Is someone on the ice to help?
Last Updated: June 26, 2026Ice bookings do not include an on-ice monitor. An on-ice monitor can be arranged at the time of booking.
Can we rent skates for my birthday party/event?
Last Updated: June 26, 2026Rentals are available at some locations. Please inquire at the time of booking to ensure that we are able to accommodate. If skate rental are available the Manager on Duty can assist your group on the day of your event.
Are helmets required for my birthday party/event?
Last Updated: June 26, 2026Depending on regional differences, helmets may or may not be required for skating parties/events. CSA approved helmets are required when sticks and pucks are used.
Are gratuities included?

Can we bring snacks, fruit trays, or drinks?
Last Updated: June 26, 2026No, all outside food and drink are not permitted and can be provided through Canlan Sports.
