CANLAN SPORTS HAS LAUNCHED A COMMITTEE TO CHANGE THE GAME — FOR HER.
The She Plays Hockey Committee's all about building a diverse sports community where girls & women get every chance—from playing to competing, making new friends and building a future in sports.
Her journey starts here, with us.
EMPOWERMENT
THROUGH
PARTICIPATION
We aim to ignite a lifelong love of hockey, by building an inclusive, empowering and accessible grassroots experience, both on and off the ice. We envision a future where girls and women have an opportunity at Canlan to play, grow and lead through hockey. We’re creating spaces where girls and women are recognized, supported and inspired to own their place in the game – and change it for the better.
By 2030, we will share a compelling girls and women hockey story and create a clear pathway to attract 15% more girls and women registered at Canlan Sports, offering a greater variety of experiences and ice access, starting at the age 5+ with exclusive options.
EMPOWERING GIRLS HOCKEY FOR LIFE.
In 2024, Canlan Sports launched the She Plays initiative to champion girls and women's participation and representation in hockey. Within our ecosystem, we are identifying the challenges still faced, creating new opportunities to make the game more equitable and inclusive for all.
