Job Summary:
Join Canlan Sports as an Administrative Intern, collaborating closely with the General Manager and Office Manager in overseeing daily operations, event management, interdepartmental communication, and project execution. This role suits proactive individuals seeking hands-on experience in administration, project coordination, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing internal and external events.
- Manage event logistics like scheduling, vendor coordination, and materials preparation.
- Track event timelines, requirements, and follow-up actions.
- Execute small projects from planning to completion under GM guidance.
- Conduct research, prepare documentation, update project trackers, and meet deadlines.
- Support process improvements and operational initiatives as assigned.
- Act as a liaison between the GM and departments for smooth information flow.
- Follow up on meeting action items, maintaining positive relationships across teams.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks, document preparation, and file organization.
- Maintain office organization, ensure timely task completion, and provide support as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Enrolled in Business Administration, Communications, Management, or related post-secondary program.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, eager to learn, and independent.
- Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a team.
- Must be currently enrolled in a university or college co-op program.
*This is an unpaid internship with the opportunity to receive a stipend upon successful completion of the internship.
