Canlan Sports is currently looking for a Marketing Manager (12 month contract) for our North York Head Office!
Salary Range: $75,000 - $78,000 per year.
This contract is intended to cover a maternity leave.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director, Marketing; the Marketing Manager is a key member of the marketing team at Canlan Sports. Committed to creating sports communities that change lives for the better, this role will demonstrate a strong intellectual ability to create and implement content strategies as an engine for growth. With complete brand immersion, this role will connect Canlan Sports' purpose, mission and strategy to all content execution, driven by data and insights, to optimize Canlan Sports' digital footprint through and create the best possible experience for our sport communities.
Accountabilities
- Increase the Canlan Sports brand reputation as thought leaders and the authority of the Sports and Recreation industry, through its owned and shared digital channels, to grow our sport communities.
- Enrich digital experiences through content that engages and delights, to build customer loyalty and brand recognition that drives traffic, generate leads, and converts goals.
- Create and manage multi-channel content marketing and communications strategies across master brand & subsidiaries that define KPIs to reach goals and objectives, by delivering consistent and impactful content strategy, designed to enhance our brand, and support the national marketing strategy.
- Develop our customer lifecycle strategy: create tactics for each customer lifecycle, in line with key personas and segmentation, to provide relevant content to our customers throughout their journey based on behaviours and friction points.
- Map and understand customers' unique needs and behaviours to ensure customer segments receive tailored and relevant content
- Implement campaign journeys and provide documentation: to build and map customer journeys, review, and share results, collect insights, and iterate as needed to optimize results & fully reach KPIs.
Abilities, Attributes and Experience
- Extremely detail oriented with strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communicator: written and verbal with demonstrated ability to use brand tone and voice
- Critical thinking & analysis are among the top qualities, with ability to take complex ideas and translate them into easily digestible content for users
- Ability to create multi-faceted media plans across various platforms, utilizing multiple buyer personas that all ladder up to content strategies, brand missions to complete project goal (awareness, engagement, conversions, retention)
- Progressive & innovative, by staying on top of trends in the field, new opportunities for growth that align with content strategy
- Proven ability to utilize digital landscape to connect customers to the right content that is valuable to them.
Qualifications and Education
- College Certificate or University Degree in Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4 years work experience in a digital marketing role with an agency, sports and recreation organization, or similar industry, with a proven and successful track record
