At Canlan Sports, we continuously aim to exceed in all areas of our business and our commitment to social responsibility is certainly no exception. Our mission is to provide inclusive, accessible, environmentally friendly spaces for people to stay active, play sports and connect to their communities. We are committed to being part of the change we want to create in the world by serving and giving back to our sports communities.

As a leading owner & operator of recreational facilities in North America, Canlan Sports is focused on being a responsible corporate citizen in all of the markets we serve. We are a brand our public can trust and have confidence in. We conduct our business with the highest ethical standards and recognize that giving back to our communities not only means fulfilling our mission but more importantly, means meeting the social obligations we have towards our people, investors, customers, suppliers, competitors and the community as a whole. With a team of approximately 1,000 Canlan staff members we accomplish our goals every day, together.


“Fill The Net” Campaign for our local Food Banks.

We want to do our part in ensuring that nobody in our local communities goes hungry. Over the last five years, Canlan Sports has engaged its employees and customers to help us collect more than 38,000 pounds of food and thousands of dollars in cash during our annual “Fill The Net” campaign which runs from November to January each year.



Charity Alignment

National Partnership with Canadian Cancer Society and American Cancer Society

Canlan Sports entered into a partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society, which includes several exciting initiatives that will engage employees, increase awareness for this charity and raise funds in support of them.

This includes:

– A fundraising program we call “Jeans Fridays”, providing employees the opportunity to wear jeans on Fridays, in exchange for a donation to the CCS or ACS

– The Daffodil Campaign as a National Pin Partner that distributes pins to all its locations across Canada and encourages support from employees and customers during Daffodil Month (April)

Now recognized as a national corporate partner with the Canadian Cancer Society and the American Cancer Society, Canlan Sports will continue to support these social responsibility initiatives as well as exploring new opportunities in this area, with increased employee engagement.
